James Lewis' Bettola

James Lewis

I shot James Lewis for an article in Garden & Gun's June 2009 issue. During the shooting, James and I realized that we saw eye to eye on many subject including: presentation of image, quality over quantity, and the ever ongoing pursuit of knowledge.

Bettola

I've had to pleasure of shooting James' restaurant Bettola a few times since, and it will be my continued pleasure to shoot it in the future.

Many Many Things

So i got back, and I hit the ground running.

Laura and I are heading to Charleston, SC, tomorrow morning, and I've been flying through things to get ready.

1) Concert this Sunday at SecondRow:

FrontRow Series: David Berkeley w/ Neil Couvillion, February 22nd

2) Portfolio Prep:

G&G Portfolio Prep

3) Concertina Multimedia:

Bob

4) Getting pumped about attending this on Saturday.

5) Gathering images and such for a new site.

6) Looking for a home for Laura and I to live in.

The future folds many wonderful blessings, and many difficult challenges. All praise be unto the Lord.

Peace. - Caleb

B-Side Reflection

Katie Herzig

I love the Creative Process. I also love b-sides.

I spent today looking through past shoots I've had. Along with finding a hand full of overlooked b-sides images, I thought through each shoot, reflecting on what I did and what I would do differently now. How did I edit the images at that time? What was the day like, and how did I interact with my clients?

Time of reflection is a very important stage in the creative process. It promotes growth and maturity, as well as challanges "the self" to reach further than you had in the past.

Here are a few of those b-sides:
