This is Tricia, aka Trish. I'm shooting her wedding in April and frankly, I can't wait! I'm pretty positive that it's going to be a great day.

She and three other lovely ladies stopped by the studio yesterday to have her bridal portrait taken.

I used mostly in-studio lighting, but this is one of the natural light shots I really loved.

Good times.

P.S. The Katie Herzig shoot is today.

"I think the most interesting thing one can say about ones later life is that if you can sustain your interest in what you're doing, you're an extremely fortunate person. What you see very frequently in people's professional life, and perhaps in their emotional life as well, is that they lose interest in the Third Act. You sort of get tired and indifferent and sometimes defensive, and you kind of lose your capacity for astonishment. And it's a great loss, because the world is a very astonishing place. So I think what I feel fortunate about is that I am still astonished. That things still amaze me. And I think that's a great benefit to being in the Arts, where the possibility for learning never disappears. Where you basically have to admit you never learn it."

I love finding things that inspire me. Sometimes it's a picture. Sometimes a quote. And sometimes a film or video.

Here are two wonderful videos, which seem to inspire me again and again.

1)

Jeremiah is cool.

He likes to look out windows.

Whilst looking out windows, he likes watching the sunset.

Here's an amazing comic brought to you by PBF Comics:

*Look over it a few times, until you get what really happened.*

Now, here's my interpretation of Jeremiah watching the comic happen right in front of his eyes, whilst looking out the window.

P.S. I shoot Katie Herzig on Sunday. Should be a lot of fun!

The first thing we heard was music. Then came the shouting.

At first I thought Josh was playing a live concert through the main speakers in the studio. But this sound was distant, and building by the minute. I stood up and ran to our windows that look over 2nd Ave N.

I grabbed a loading Hasselblad, and headed for the street.

Every year on MLK Day hundreds of people, both black and white, march to the 16th Street Baptist Church. This was the first year I had the privilege to be one of those who marched.

As we made our way across the intersections we sang the hymns We Shall Overcome and Amazing Grace.

Some seemed to be marching for current political issues; others for the sake of remembering the man who helped uphold the cause of freedom. Whatever the cause or reason, we all marched to remember the joys and the responsibilities we have to one another in this brotherhood of man.

There will always be those who need our help.

There will always be a way and reason to show love.

Things have been pretty busy lately.

Hard to explain right now, but here are two things:

1) Grey Haven

2) Bryan and I did a shoot recently with Emily Deloach and Jason Feller. Here's a couple of favorite shot from that:
