I'm not the biggest fan of contemporary christian worship music.

There are a few CD's out there that I don't mind (and some I even really enjoy), but as a whole I have found contemporary worship music reflects the churches and communities they come out of. So, in the case of America, the worship music is often "a mile wide and an inch deep."

This is not so for Daniel Bashta.

Daniel is a guy I have only recently gotten to know. I'm helping shoot his wedding in a few months, so he's been up to the studio a few times. He's a worship leader at a local church in Birmingham, and on one of the visits to the studio he mentioned he was working on a new CD. We asked, and he gave us a few copies of the pre-release.

It's good.

Really good.

Check out his website, and send him an e-mail telling him what you think.

This lyrically simple song "Heaven" really hit me this morning:

His Kingdom Come...please.

Peace. - Caleb
