August 11, 2007

It is hot. VERY hot.

Yesterday was my day off. However, it didn't get very relaxed until the end of the day. The beginning was filled with one of my least favorite things to do in the world: stand in line.

First up, I had to renew my license plate (which expired in March, as the police man who pulled me over so kindly reminded me) and I had to pay a fine for being late.

Is there a better way to spend your Friday Morning? Standing on dirty white tiles under flickering florecents, waiting for the beautiful government queen (who is wearing a denim jumper) to begin processing your request? You wait, sweaty palms folded in front of you. In your pockets you hold all the documents you need (you hope). You begin to ask yourself, "Will the queen permit me to speak, or will she take one look at me and banish me to another line?"

Then, it happens. The queen opens her mounth, and with the sweet air of someone who just finished a McDonalds bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, she utters the single word you've been waiting to hear.

"NEXT!"

Then I went to Verizon and had the best experience with costumer service ever...NOT!

But then the day got better. I got my hair cut (thanks Deanna), came home, read a little, cleaned my room (which I haven't lived in since I moved here 2 months ago), and hung out with my friend Lee. That night, we watched V for Vendetta, an amazing film.

So that was my day.

Peace. - Caleb
